Britney Checks Into Rehab - Out a Day Later

TMZ has learned that while Britney Spears checked-in to rehab, she refused to stay and checked out -- less than twenty-four hours later!

As "EXTRA" first reported, the pop star entered a rehab facility two days ago. Now TMZ has learned that the center was located outside of the country, and she refused to stay. PEOPLE confirms that Brit was at Eric Clapton's Crossroads rehab facility in Antigua.

TMZ is told that Britney checked in at the urging of friends and family, after being seen intoxicated in public places and was so "exhausted" on New Year's Eve she collapsed.

According to TMZ sources, Britney is on her way back to Los Angeles.

A rep for Britney could not immediately be reached for comment.

92. I don't believe in all this "single mother, I go out garbage." I have been a single mother, too. And yes, I did go out, ONCE IN A WHILE! No one is saying because she has kids she needs to stay home and knit. But in order to be an effective parent she can't be loaded all of the time and go out EVERY night of the week. Find a healthy balance between being a Mom and being a woman who can enjoy herself. At no point should her EXCESSIVE PARTYING interfere with her ability to parent. And in my opinion, it DEFINETLY has. Brit - if you're gonna act stupid like this, give the kids to Mom to raise or something but don't let them suffer. It's time to grow up!

100. Britney is a train careening out of control. She is 25 years old with 2 children. She needs to grow up and start taking care of her kids (and herself). She looks like crap and is not as sexy as she thinks she is. Her face is all puffy and blotchy and she needs to work on those thighs. This incessant partying and other outlandish antics (pantiless, changing into stripper clothes at a club, etc.) are going to serve as her downfall. She has money, she should use it to her advantage. Those poor babies!!!!
